Now that it’s almost
May June (losing track of time), I finally remembered to post my April pictures.
04.02 Our friends from Austin came for their eye exams today. Their little boys are around Elisia’s age and she & Jacob, the older one, got along really well. The boys are sporting sunglasses after having their eyes dilated.
04.03 We had some beautiful spring weather so we all got outside and did some gardening. Elisia was a great helper, watering plants and pulling weeds.
04.09 Elisia told us she wanted to play soccer so we signed her up for Little Kickers clinic through the YMCA. Today was the first practice and the kids spent some time kicking the ball to each other. Elisia was pretty funny with the dribbling; it took her FOREVER to get down the field.
04.12 I signed Elisia up for kindergarten today. Can’t believe it’s almost time for my baby to start school!
04.23 We decided to have a bowling party to celebrate Elisia’s birthday with my family in Houston. The kids & adults had a great time, some bowling for the very first time. Here’s Joseph in action.
04.23 And here we are with Elisia’s birthday cake after bowling & dinner. My nephew-in-law offered to take the pictures so I could actually be IN the photo. Who would have thought?! Thanks, Nathan!
04.23 And we finished off the day with an Easter egg hunt. We cut back on the amount of candy this year so the kids wouldn’t end up with 5 pounds each. They were happy and so were we.
04.25 There’s a wonderful program called the Good Shepherd at our church for the 3-6 year olds. They are now expanding it to the older kids so I have been helping them make materials for the program. We have been meeting the last Monday each month and I get to spend about 4 hours drawing and coloring. It’s been a great artistic outlet, time to make some new friends, and a way to give back to the church.
Hope I didn’t bore you with my pictures of our exciting life. Before you leave, there’s a new Mami Doodles challenge today. I don’t have a card to share with you but I hope you will stop by the blog to check out what the DT has created for the “Let’s Party” theme. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!
